How we calculate the estimate
Every figure comes from real commercial-grade pricing, the same numbers in our banquet furniture cost guide. Prices are per unit, at volume, before freight and installation. Here is the baseline for the most common pieces:
| Item | Per unit (at volume) |
|---|---|
| Steel-frame stacking banquet chairs | $45 – $90 |
| Aluminum stacking chairs | $70 – $130 |
| Resin Chiavari chairs | $40 – $80 |
| Wood / aluminum Chiavari chairs | $90 – $180 |
| Commercial barstools | $110 – $320 |
| Lounge chairs | $300 – $900 |
| Round folding tables (60") | $60 – $130 |
| Rectangular folding tables (6-8 ft) | $50 – $120 |
| Cocktail / highboy tables | $70 – $150 |
Volume discounts follow the breaks the industry actually uses: pricing steps down at 50, 100, 250, and 500-plus seating units. The calculator applies an estimated 5% to 20% reduction as your order crosses those thresholds.
The quality tiersetting shifts the estimate within each item's range: Economy leans on budget-grade specs, Standard reflects typical commercial-grade, and Premium assumes upscale finishes and fabrics. The venue presets fill a typical package from your guest capacity or room count (for example, a ballroom seats one chair per guest and roughly one 60-inch round table per nine guests), which you can then fine-tune. Turning on custom finishes adds about 20% and a 10 to 14 week lead time, and the optional freight and install estimate adds roughly 14% to 26% since real delivery depends on destination and site access.
Common questions
How much does banquet furniture cost?
Steel-frame stacking banquet chairs typically run $45 to $90 per unit at volume, aluminum stacking chairs $70 to $130, and resin Chiavari chairs $40 to $80. Round 60-inch folding tables run $60 to $130 and rectangular folding tables $50 to $120. A full ballroom package for 300 guests generally lands between $20,000 and $45,000 before freight, depending on chair grade and table mix.
What drives the price difference between two similar-looking chairs?
Frame gauge and welds, upholstery rating (commercial seats should hit 50,000+ Wyzenbeek double rubs versus 10,000 to 15,000 on residential-grade fabric), and foam density (35 to 40 ILD holds its shape; low-density foam flattens fast). Two chairs that look identical in a photo can differ by $60 per unit on these specs alone.
How much can I save by ordering in volume?
Meaningful price breaks usually start at 50 units and step down again at 100, 250, and 500-plus. A venue ordering 300 chairs pays noticeably less per chair than one ordering 30. The calculator applies an estimated 5% to 20% volume discount as your seating count crosses those thresholds.
Does the estimate include shipping and installation?
No. The estimate covers furniture unit cost only. Freight, tariffs, and white-glove installation are quoted separately because they depend on destination, quantity, and site access. Request a quote for an all-in delivered figure.
How long does commercial furniture take to arrive?
Stocked banquet chairs and tables ship quickly. Custom finishes, custom upholstery, and large factory-direct quantities typically run 10 to 14 weeks.
