What ordering at volume looks like
Buying at quantity is a different exercise from buying a few pieces. The advantages come from treating the whole order as one program rather than a stack of separate purchases.
01
Mixed-truckload consolidation
Ask whether the selected product origins and ready dates allow shared freight. Confirm coordination, unloading, storage, and any costs.
02
One spec across a property
Document the approved model, finish, fabric, dimensions, and allowed variation for every room and location.
03
Staged delivery
Specify phase quantities and receiving dates. Ask the supplier to confirm storage, dispatch, and delivery responsibilities.
04
Sample and evaluation programs
Request availability, cost, return terms, and the specifications represented by a sample before relying on it for approval.
05
Quantity-driven quote
Provide line quantities, specification, destination, and timing. Compare itemized supplier quotations and exclusions.
06
Reorders that stay matched
Retain the approved specification and ask about discontinuation, material variation, minimums, and future replacement availability.

Quantity-driven quote
Tell us the quantity first
The single most useful line on a volume request is the count. Send how many of each piece you need, the finish or fabric direction, a delivery zip or postal code, and the date the space has to be ready.
Share the complete package for relevant independent suppliers to review. Each supplier confirms its pricing, available services, freight, and delivery terms directly with you.

Common questions about volume ordering
What counts as a volume furniture order?
There is no single threshold. A quantity brief specifies the same pieces across a venue, guestrooms, campus, or fleet. Include quantities by line and location, required consistency, replacement needs, and the dates each phase can receive goods.
How does mixed-truckload consolidation work?
Ask the supplier whether the selected lines can be consolidated and which party coordinates it. Confirm origins, receiving dates, unloading, storage, and any additional fees. A mixed order does not by itself guarantee a single truck or delivery.
Can one specification be matched across an entire property?
An approved specification can document the intended match. Ask how the supplier controls finish and material variation and what happens if a line or material is discontinued. Do not assume future reorders will be identical without written confirmation.
Do you offer sample or evaluation programs before a large order?
Include a sample or evaluation requirement in the enquiry. The independent supplier must confirm whether it is available, its cost, what specification it represents, and whether it must be returned. Review the sample before authorizing production where the project requires it.
Can delivery be staged across phases?
Request the phase dates and quantities you need. The supplier must confirm whether partial production, warehousing, and staged dispatch are possible and state the costs and responsibilities. A staged-delivery requirement is not an offered service until agreed.
How do I get a price on a volume order?
Send an item list, quantities by phase, approved references, finish or fabric direction, destination, and required dates for relevant independent suppliers to review. Compare their written quotations for products, freight, services, approvals, payment terms, and exclusions.
